I have a DVD-RW from a Alba DVD recorder, the folder name is DVD_RTAV and the files that it contains are .BUP,.IFO,.VRO, i can view the files and content on my dvd player but how can they be seen on my computer to be able to convert, in order to edit the video.

File Extension .BUP: A DVD Information File describes where all of the other files and information are on a DVD. This includes chapters, tracks, menus and subtitles.

There is no easy way to edit the text. you need to demux to text subtitles, subrip to get an SRT-file, and then edit them, subtitle workshop, then demux using PGCDemux first before reauthoring using Muxman.

All the programs are Freeware, and can be found via a search on the internet.
