| It's great that The Dark Side magazine is back i have a nostalgic fondness for it, and the classic horror articles about Hammer, Amicus and others I also find that Gorezone really did concentrate way too many pages on the Saw type films and torture porn and sexy pinups, European magazines are always better than the American ones, just look at Fangoria that run out of steam long ago. |

The new issues of the darkside magazine is now out, was in town yesterday and was unable to find the magazine in both Killingworth or fenwicks.

Information about issues #142 from the Darkside website:

In The Zone
“There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known by man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity…” There’s a signpost up ahead, guess what it says?
Hills of Fire
From Alien to The Warriors and from Streets of Fire to Johnny Handsome, Walter Hill has caused controversy and carnage in equal measures. The Dark Side’s Calum Waddell catches up with him…
Femmes Fatale
What constitutes a Scream Queen? Allan Bryce attempts to find out as he interviews horror film actresses Jennifer Lim and Marysia Kay…
King of the Chainsaw
Erstwhile Leatherface actor Gunnar Hansen speaks to Dark Side about the trials and tribulations of sawing his way into screen history!
An Eye for Horror
Alan Jones experiences the blind terror of Julia’s Eyes and interviews director Guillem Morales about his creepy modern day classic.
Helle’s Belles
Tom DeSimone might be best known for 1981’s superior slice ‘n’ dice movie Hell Night but, as Calum Waddell discovers, there is far more to his career than just low budget carnage…
The Writer Who Fell to Earth
As the 1976 David Bowie movie The Man Who Fell To Earth arrives on Blu-ray for the first time. Allan Bryce chats with the man who wrote the screenplay, former film critic Paul Mayersberg. |

The September/October Issue of The Dark Side is now available someplace, Not near me so i will have to hope that WH smiths is going to stock all the new issues, or hope that Forbidden Planet stops putting sticky labels on the Darkside covers to bump up the price.
