There been some talk about the Darkside magazine which is about to suspend or cease publication, with issue 141 being the last one.
And that they plan on relaunching in a new format like that dreadfully American magazine Fangoria, or coffee book style like GoreZone with lots of big photographs and very little writing. |

| I got a letter about six months ago that said they're temporarily suspending publication till the new year and then they're hoping to relaunch at some point in 2010 with a new format. not so sure what all that means anyhow. |

| I like to buy Video Watchdogs when Forbidden Planet stock them, can't really stand that glossy crap roll GoreZone, or Fangoria which seems to aim for the teens audience with all that Buffy and X-files crap, as i like to read about European horror movies and not all that crappy American teen dribble like hollywood remakes of Prom Night, A nightmare on elm street, Friday the 13th and stuff like that. |

| well just look at Gorezone magazine with Vogue cover with the likes of Megan Fox, Yeah the Darkside magazine had major issues but it was a lot more informative than any other magazines. |

Another magazine called DVD World or DVD & Bluray World which is edited by Allan Bryce is still open, shame really because that magazine really really sucks, it's a bit like Fangoria with pornographic pictures and little in the way of interesting articles, and sometimes reprints articles from the Darkside Magazine and vice versa.

DVD & Blu-Ray World - Issue 79 Out 3rd December 2009
Another month, and another fine issue of DVD & BLU-RAY World, the mag that sets you straight on such important cinematic topics as how Deep Throat isn't a movie about a giraffe. It's hard to believe another year has gone by, but 2009 was a very tough one. every time we thought we were making ends meet, they moved the ends. |
