They continually vote their rights away, The media has everyone in their hands, Nobody cares about freedom.

The average American is illiterate and apathetic to knowledge, They just want to live their lives imitating television and movies, We're too saturated with entertainment to be concerned with the real world, As long as we get our nice paychecks and we can drive to McDonald's, we're happy.

Sooner or later, things are going to fall apart around here and it's going to be because Americans were too dumb to see it coming.

I take it since you said "we're" that you are also American. I do very much agree with you, but my advice is simply live your own life. There's lots of steeple out there, just don't be one

If you can see that everyone around you is an Idiot? Then you need to come on my show & prove to us that you are also an idiot.

Knowledge is the antidote of stupidity. I've noticed that true knowledge is generally being withheld from the average person. What the media shows us is so unbalanced, even a step in the right direction does little to solve anything. We have to find real knowledge for ourselves. I think one of the answers is for people to travel - not as a tourist or a soldier, but as an observer. I starting traveling 10 years ago and it really opened my eyes. I learned that Muslim families are gracious hosts, people with less appear to express more joy, and the Japanese really do everything better - except they don't have time to do it a lot, because they are always working. My point is, before Americans can think outside of the box they need to get out of the box!!! It's amazing what you'll learn out there....

I'm too saturated with marijuana to be concerned with reality. It's pretty nice though; not having to worry about anything for a brief moment in my brief existence in this lifetime.

There are probably a multitude of reasons why people are stupid, but as for the Americans on a whole, it might just be because there's a huge, screaming crowd of people who do nothing but either strike fear/terror into the hearts of the populace, or do nothing but moan and complain about how stupid we are, sweeping a nation over 300 million people into one giant, pessimistic stereotype that involves all of us being stupid, fat, and fiscally well-off without looking at the actual facts and doing something about it.

There have been rumors of groups of citizens who actually lobby for change and throw support behind candidates, demand media transparency and gov't as well, who vote and are well-educated about the world, who care about the world and honestly, faithfully believe that they can make the world a better place.

But since all Americans are stupid, it must obviously be untrue.

Speak for yourself and those you spread your own stupidity too, Instead of complaining about it, make a change, The only person you can change is yourself, If you sit back and do nothing in response to your own complaints, you own it all.

So I've noticed Japanese economic issues keep appearing on my news searches. If the Japanese economy does happen to take an unprecedented nose dive, what would that do to the global economy?

I don't think Japan falling to level of say...Russia is realistic, but hypothetically, what kind of shockwaves would this cause?
