A standard Super 8 cartridge holds 50 ft. of 8mm wide film and shot at 18 fps at standard frame rate, which can record 3 mins and 20 seconds of film.

At 23.976 fps (24p) you get 2 mins and 30 seconds.

Note these are recording times and playback times will depend on the projector frame rate. (e.g. Super 8 film shot at 24 fps and played back at 18 fps will run 3 min. 20 sec.).

PCM, MiniDisc or compact cassette if you really want some nice sound.

I would go for a PCM recorder 48k or 96k.
